THE "WIEDENWEIDE"
'De WiedenWeide' is a beautiful, rustic bed & breakfast located in the Overijssel village of Wanneperveen (near Giethoorn), which is located in the NP Weerribben-Wieden. The B&B is situated in the front part of the house, with a separate entrance and has 3 cozy and comfortable B&B rooms and a luxurious suite for 4 people. Breakfast is served by the hostess in the garden room with a large terrace and a view over the countryside.

The village Wanneperveen is a quiet village, located between Steenwijk and Meppel, at a distance of only 4 kilometers from the 'Hollands Venice' village of Giethoorn and is located in the NP Weerribben-Wieden (natura 2000 area). Delicious breakfast in the Garden Room
Our garden room is a beautiful country house with a wood stove and terrace, in the garden of 'De WiedenWeide'. Here we serve an extensive breakfast to our guests every morning (starting time between 08:00 and 09:30). During breakfast you can also enjoy the view over the countryside.
What are the things to do?
'De WiedenWeide' is located in a diverse region. The wetland area is suitable for fun boat trips through the NP Weerribben - Wieden and a visit to the Zuiderzee towns and villages such as Giethoorn and Dwarsgracht. But this area is also a mecca for walkers and cyclists. The Holtingerveld is less than 15 minutes away with the sheepfold, dolmens (hunnenbedden) and heathland. You can enjoy water sports such as sailing and surfing on 'het Bovenwiede'. But culture lovers will also get their money's worth in Steenwijk, Meppel and Zwolle. In short, too much to mention. Over ons
Medio 2022 zijn Gise en Riëtta aan de Veneweg in Wanneperveen hun Bed & Breakfast 'De WiedenWeide' begonnen. Wat begon met het idee om landelijk te wonen en anderen mee te laten genieten van deze mooie omgeving, is uitgegroeid tot een fijne bed & breakfast, met ambities voor 3 luxe 'glampingtenten' met eigen sanitair in een volgend seizoen.
About Us
In mid-2022, Gise and Riëtta started their Bed & Breakfast 'De WiedenWeide' on the Veneweg in Wanneperveen. What started with the idea of living in the countryside and letting others enjoy this beautiful environment, has grown into a fine bed & breakfast, with ambitions for 3 luxury 'glamping tents' with private sanitary facilities in the next season.
AMMENITIES
Parking on property
We have sufficient parking spaces on our own property. Electric charging via socket is possible for a fee. Fast charging facilities will also be installed in the near future.
WiFi
Of course you can use our free guest WiFi network.
Garden Room
In the garden room, with a view over the meadows, we serve breakfast in the morning (starting between 08:00 and 09:30). As a B&B guest you can use this separate garden room. Here you can enjoy a drink by the wood-burning stove or enjoy the surroundings on the terrace.
Meals
We regularly serve a simple meal upon subscription. If there is enough interest, we offer lasagna with salad on Fridays.
Terrace
The Garden Room has a spacious terrace with seating areas for our B&B guests. Here you have a view of the farmlands and Wieden. The Garden Room is therefore open for our B&B guests during the day and in the evening until 9.30 pm. Self-cooking in the garden room is not allowed.
Locked bicycle shed
For your own bicycle you can use our locked bicycle shed
Fireplace
Soon there will be a cozy fire pit on the Wiedenweide grounds, which our guests can enjoy in the evenings at set times and under the supervision of the owner.
Pets
We have also thought of animal lovers! In the summer months, dozens of sheep and lambs walk across our site. Dogs are welcome in our "Wieden Suite" on request. Small dogs are also allowed on request in the "Punter room". The other rooms are pet-free.
